Most of our brides have turned into some of our greatest friends. We make an effort to get to know each couple individually so that we are able to ensure that our clients will have each detail presented the way they wish. We know our brides well enough to be able to make any last minute decisions that may come up on the wedding day.
Our attention to detail and design brings our coordination of each event to the next level of possibilities. The benefit of working with our company is that Katie and I work closely together with both the coordination and design aspects of what we do as well as each of our preferred vendors. In this way we are able to not only create an event that runs smoothly but also combine our creative resources to have the added touch of elegance.
We are not your average design team as we come from different back grounds in the wedding and event industry. My husband and I come from the art and music event back ground, while I began performing wedding in the year 2000 as an officiant with the assistance of my husband for the music. Katie began her career, in 1999, as a wedding cater, developing into a cake maker and then moving into floral design and event coordination. Katie currently does wedding photography and is a wedding coordinator/designer. I see each event as a production to be orchestrated while Katie's Photography vision brings our attention to each detail.
Frequently Asked Questions:1. Are you local and would be able to meet with me at all my vendor visits, for planning meetings and budgeting meetings throughout the planning process? My business partner, Katie Brodniak and I travel for our weddings often. Our staff would be available for assisting with vendor visits, planning meetings and budgeting meetings throughout the planning process. My business partner and I would meet with you each time we are in town and be available for your wedding week exclusively. Katie was born and raised in Utah and my husband was as well. We both travel between Hawaii, The Pacific Northwest and Utah for family connections and weddings year round.
2. What are your available times for face to face meetings or if I need to talk to you on the phone? We are available for unlimited phone consultations. Face to face meetings would depend on our travel schedules.
3. Does the design part of your Blue Orchid Collection include the actual rental of linens, china, crystal and flatware as well as florals, etc? The Blue Orchid Collection is 30% of the budget we are working with for coordination of all your equipment rentals, flowers and decor, venues for rehearsal dinner and the wedding day and any other wedding related event, service or items we coordinate. This 30% would be our total fees for the budget we are arranging/coordinating.
'The cost of The Blue Orchid Collection includes the time necessary to ensure that you receive all aspects of the wedding, including the linens and other such items, timely and to our design specifications but does not include the actual cost of the items.'
4. Do you do your initial consultations in person as well? We have a staff of personnel we work with depending on what location we are doing weddings at at any given time. Each one of our staff will be up to date on the planning process should myself or Katie be unavailable to meet with you in person. Both Katie and I present on your wedding day.
5. How many wedding do you do a year in Utah and what venues have you worked with here? I have personally done one wedding at at private residence in Utah to date. My business partner, Katie Brodniak has done over 100 Weddings in Utah. There are a couple of venues she has worked with exclusively. We are in the process of developing new locations every day, the wedding industry is constantly changing and we are alway working on providing the highest quality wedding vendors for our clients.
